How do I get started with therapy?

Getting started with therapy is easy! Simply book your free consultation (subject to availability) through our website or get access now by booking a session or signing up to a plan.

What happens once I sign-up?

Once you sign-up, you will be asked to select your therapist (you'll have full access to their profiles, we are also happy to make a recommendation based on your situation). Then you'll go through onboarding, this is simply to get a baseline measure of where you're at and give you the tools to get the most out of therapy. Then simply sign-in to your client portal and book a session.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes! Online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy for many individuals. It provides the same level of care, flexibility, and confidentiality, with the added benefit of being more accessible and convenient. Our therapists are trained to deliver high-quality therapy through secure online platforms.

Who are the therapists?

Do you provide couples therapy?

Yes, we offer couples therapy to help improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships. Our therapists work with you to enhance trust and intimacy, providing tools to navigate challenges together.

Do you provide adolescent therapy/therapy for teenagers?

Yes, we provide therapy for adolescents to help with challenges like anxiety and depression. Parental or adult consent is required for adolescents to participate in therapy sessions.

Who will be helping me?

You’ll be recommended one of our professional therapists based on your needs and preferences. They will work with you throughout your therapy journey to provide personalized support and guidance.

Is AWKN therapy right for me?

Can I switch therapists if I feel it's not the right fit?

Yes, we believe in finding the best fit for each of our clients. If you feel that your therapist isn’t the right match, simply let us know, and we will help you connect with another therapist who better suits your needs.

How much does it cost?

We offer a range of pricing options, starting from 359AED per session. Prices vary depending on the type of session and your selected plan. Please see our pricing options here.

Will the therapist treat what I say as confidential?

Our therapists are fully licensed and registered with the relevant professional bodies, having completed all necessary education, exams, training, and clinical practice. This ensures that when you work with a qualified therapist online, they are bound by the same confidentiality and reporting requirements as those practicing in person.

Typically, your therapist will maintain the confidentiality of what you share with them, but there are specific exceptions. For instance, if you pose a serious risk of harm to yourself or another individual, your therapist is legally required to report it to the proper authorities. If you have any concerns about confidentiality, please feel free to discuss your therapist’s legal duties before your sessions begin. How is my privacy and security protected?

We take your privacy seriously. Our platform uses the highest security standards, adhering to HIPAA compliance, to ensure your personal information and therapy sessions remain confidential.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?

Life happens, and we understand. You can cancel or reschedule a session through our online portal. We ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees.
